God bless! I went to school in KC,MO. w/a relative of Nick’s. Years later I moved to Las Vegas…became a Showgirl/Model. The “Lifers” (long-time Casino employees) told me,” It (Vegas) was much better when the Mob ran things here.” There’s no repect anymore.
Cosa Nostra come back!
God bless, you, Nick & Family.

I have spoken to many people over the years about Vegas itself. This includes mobsters, police types, and civilians. They all say the same thing that you did. Vegas was much better when it was ran by the mob. My friend Frank Cullotta was an enforcer and a robber before turning government witness in the 70’s and 80’s in Vegas, he said that if someone lost their fortune, they would still feed them, get them to the airport and pay for their ticket home. Things have certainly changed over the years. Thank you for your comment Allyson.
Thanks for letting me share, Paul. Sounds like you really know what I mean. My job is very high profile. I’ve been on TV, Movies, billboards, T-shirts, autograph & guest appearances, etc. I also do alot of charity work. The ONLY place I feel SAFE going ALONE is to our San Genarro Feast. Period.
While working as “Ms. Flamingo”, Ambassador of the “Fabulous Flamingo” Casino
& Harrah’s Ent., under Don “Dino” Marrandino & Geno Ifraete, it WAS Fabulous! But then
Par-ball Corp. took over, Dino & Geno “left”. Hmm….I left, too. Everything changed. All that’s still there is a bust of Bugsy outside. No Respect. Now the Strip is beggers, drunk street performers & tourists in flip flops carrying 6-paks of beer. My 1st NYE here, We dressed “to the nine’s”. Between my husband & I, we had about $10,000 in jewelry on us. We were shocked to see not only were we the only ones dressed up, it was absolute CHAOS on the Strip! Teens runnin, people in jeans stumbling down drunk, horrible. We got back in our car & left. The Glamour, the Dream, the Mafia are gone. Sad. But I will be going to San Genarro next month! VIVA ITALIA!!
Take care & God bless you, Paul.

If you are looking to get a small piece of that Old Vegas, consider going to Mob Con next month. I will be there signing my book but so will some of the old school guys from the day. There will be the bad guys, the guys that chased them, and the true crime authors that write about them. Here is a link if you would like to check it out Allyson. http://mob-con.net/html/about.htm
