Frank Cullotta Newspaper Chicago Tribune December 26th, 1982
This articles from the Chicago Tribune dated Sunday, December 26, 1982 and written by Ronald Koziol. In this article and discuss one of the greatest robberies in the Chicago area history. This robbery took place on December 28, 1964. It involves Frank Cullotta and five other members. They robbed a Brinks truck at a church directory. It was the last stop on the route. They got away with $285,000 even though only $233,000 was reported missing. They had a kick up $70,000 to the Chicago Outfit from the heist. There were $5,000 worth of coins that nobody was interested, so Frank gave them to his little brother. Nobody was ever charged in this crime and nobody was ever charged with this information that Frank brought forward; because the statute of limitations has expired. An interesting note of one of the members of the gang, Frank DeLegge, was later found murdered. He was one of the six robbers that were killed for robbing Outfit boss’s Tony Accardo’s home in 1978.
