This is the Chicago Tribune article dated Sunday, June 20, 1982. In this article Frank Cullotta provides information on 18 murders. In 1977 four men were gunned down in an elevator and Park Ridge Illinois. Three of these men belonged to an alarm company business and they were gunned down for not kicking up to the Outfit. The fourth was killed for being at the wrong place at the wrong time.
At this time Frank Cullotta was the highest ranking member in the Outfit to turn government witness. He would remain the highest member to turn until Frank Calabrese Jr. turned in 2005 in the Chicago’s Family Secrets Trial.
He also provided confirmation of what law enforcement suspected about six gangland murders that occurred in Chicago. It was thought by law enforcement that these murders were committed as retaliation for breaking into the outfit bosses house, Tony Accardo. Tony Accardo’s house was robbed while he was on vacation. When he found out he put out the order murder everyone that was involved. Supposedly, during the time of this order Chicago burglary was the lowest in the history of Chicago.
Other murders that are outlined in this article is my father’s and Patricia Freeman’s murder, the jeweler Robert Brown, and the M and M murders of Billy McCarthy and Jimmy Miraglia.
